Hello my name is Brad and I only recently realized there was a forum. You may recognize me from the wood pile next to the brooms and fire extinguisher or the nightstand that has manifested from said wood pile. Personally I am from a suburb of Atlanta, and a 2020 graduate from Auburn university with a degree in aerospace engineering. I’ve lived in Huntsville for a year and a half now, and have come to call it home. Woodworking has always been in my life in some manner, but I never really had both the time and resources for it at the same time until I joined Sanctuary. Outside of woodworking, I’ve been doing 3D printing for 3 years now (Flashforge Finder, for those curious), and I’ve been doing CAD work on and off for about 8 years now (and trying to turn that into a career in mechanical design engineering.) I’m currently working on making this year’s Christmas presents, as well as hoping to finish up the nightstand by New Years. The section of barnwood beam in my pile I hope to split in half and make a bench out of. New things I’d like to learn are stained/leaded glass assembly, hand-cut dovetails, and wood turning. See yall around the shop!
